A large 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Northeastern Japan Friday night, according to the US Geological Survey Institute. This footage, which is believed to be taken in Japan's Miyagi prefecture, appears to show the YouTube unloader's living room at the exact time the earthquake was occurring. People in Northeastern Japan were watching anxiously for signs of a tsunami after a 7.3 earthquake struck off the coast Friday evening. There are reports that a one-meter wave reached Miyagi Prefecture, prompting a tsunami warning. Luckily, the tsunami warning has been lifted. Memories of the devastating tsunami in March 2011 are still raw for many in Japan and this latest quake, although it is no where near as strong as last years. did hit the same area. Seismologists call it proof California is "earthquake country." About 300 quakes shook Southern California throughout the day Sunday. This video captures one families reaction.
