7-Year-Old Brain Cancer Patient Scores Touchdown During College Football Game 01:10

7-year-old Jack Hoffman became an honorary Husker after the University of Nebraska football team adopted the young brain cancer patient back in October 2011. The pint-sized super-fan managed to score a 69-yard touchdown during Saturday's spring game as practically the entire team circled around, blocking him, all while a stadium full of fans cheered him on.

Parkinson's Disease Patient Plays Guitar During Brain Surgery

The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Centre became the first in the world to live-tweet a brain surgery using Vine, Twitter's new video sharing app. To commemorate their 500th deep brain stimulation operation, the hospital recorded incredible footage while 39-year-old Bryan Parker had a pacemaker implanted in his brain to counteract the effects of his Parkinson's disease. During parts of the procedure, Parker was woken up and asked to play his guitar to assist the doctor with placing electrodes in the correct position.
