Contrary to stereotypical belief, people who are color blind can indeed see colors, they just have a harder time of distinguishing them from each other. Kind of like when a wife asks her husband's opinion on paint swatches and he replies with "Aren't they all basically the same?" Color blind individuals aren't stupid either, and it's patronizingly annoying to ask them if they know what the color of your shirt is, or your friend's shirt, or the couch, or the wall, or that car over there. So next time you see someone who's outfit clashes horribly with itself, perhaps they don't have a poor fashion sense, they just legitimately thought all the colors matched.
