A special coffee shop spreads the love and awareness while doling out the drinks. Bitty & Beau's Coffee is named after the two youngest children of owner Amy Wright and her husband. The children have Down Syndrome and inspired Wright's idea for her business venture.

The Wilmington, North Carolina shop originally opened in Jan. 2016 staffed by 19 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Wright wanted to help set up those with IDD for success as she says 70 to 85 percent of individuals with these disabilities are unemployed, according to Southern Living. The coffee shop moved to a larger building in July 2016 and is now the national headquarters for the family's efforts in making a difference.
