The dog's name is Rescue, and he has certainly helped to rescue both Jessica Kensky and Patrick Downes. The two were newlyweds in April 2013 when they both lost their left legs below the knee during the Boston Marathon bombing. While holed up at the hospital recovering for months, Jessica met Rescue, a dog that had medical conditions of his own. The two became fast friends, and the couple has even written a best-selling children's book about Jessica's relationship with Boston. Kudos to all three of you for being so strong and inspiring!
