WARNING: VIOLENT, GRAPHIC & EXPLICIT. This video is extremely difficult to watch. A neighbor took out his video camera and started recording when this father was playing baseball with his son. When his son did not catch the ball, he reportedly took off his belt and beat him with it. The neighbor interfered, and stood up for the young boy, posted the video, and called police. It was later discovered that this father is the step-father of the boy, and is a Southern California water agency director.
The step-father is Anthony Sanchez, an Imperial Valley water agency director. He was arrested yesterday on suspicion of felony child abuse and his $100,000 bail was posted and he is free on that.
