Cats may have nine lives, but one cat in Sochi, Russia would have probably used all of them had he fallen from an apartment building. Local TV station employees saw the cat hanging by its paws while they were heading into work. They waited patiently for a half an hour, and finally, the cat fell safely into one of the rescuer's backpack.

Then, we have Sugar Plum the cat, who's got herself into quite the predicament. Patrick Brandt grabbed his gear and climbed the 25-foot tree to rescue the feline. Sugar Plum was just crying for help, but Patrick showed a lot of patience and eventually was able to convince the cat it was safe to come down.
