While wildlife traps are intended to capture the beasts that roam, it's not uncommon for a house pet to wind up getting caught as well. Hermione was abandoned in a forest somewhere in South Carolina where she lived for a year until one day she stepped on a rusty coyote trap. After local animal control tried rescuing her for five days, Hope For Paws was asked to fly from California to save her life.

It took a great amount of patience, trust, and medical attention but Hermione is now healthy and recovered. (And up for adoption!) All of this wouldn't be possible without the Hope For Paws team and your generous donations. This is a rescue story to remember!
