Back in the days of elementary school, girls would often compare their flexibility with the others in their grade. We know we're guilty of it! What if one girl couldn't control just how flexible she was? Scarlet Checkers is that girl and at 23-years-old she's finally figured out why. A year ago, she was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), a genetic condition causing incredibly flexible joints and elastic skin. While it's possible for her to be wheelchair-ridden in the next 10 years, she is using this time to express herself and raise awareness about EDS.
