Simple things such as a bed to call your own and a dining room table to gather around are often luxuries we take for granted. For 8-year-old Daeyrs and his mother Dionna, they've been in and out of homelessness for most of his childhood. However, thanks to the state of Michigan their struggle has come to an end as they've been supplied with a house. While they're thankful to have a place to call their own, they aren't able to purchase more than an air mattress and a couple chairs.
Thankfully, the kind people of Humble Design were more than willing to decorate their home with donated furnishings. So, it's time to show Daeyrs and he's overwhelmed at the sight of a dining table. While he appreciates the decor of the living room and kitchen, he has no idea of the surprise waiting behind one certain door. With closed eyes and a "1, 2, 3 open," the boy is looking at his very own room. He can hardly hold back the tears at the sight of his own bed. We are so incredibly touched by this story. Appreciate the basics because some don't have the same opportunities as the rest of us.
