Tiny "meows" coming from a drain pipe surprised even the Michigan Humane Society when they showed up to the scene. The little fur babies seemed to have fallen down the pipe located just beneath a homeowner's patio. With a lot of patience and clever tactics, they were able to rescue all three kitties and give them names... Logan, Lucas and Gabriel.

Thank goodness for animal rescue teams because this little groundhog wouldn't have made it out on its own. Batting cage netting at the University of North Carolina welcomed an unusual visitor... But this poor visitor couldn't leave without a little help.

Bird netting is something awfully dangerous for reptiles, so it's a good thing Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 was there to help this eastern brown snake. They carefully cut the snake from the netting to then meticulously remove the rest of it from its head.  Some folks are completely afraid of spiders and we get it. This giant tarantula would darn right startle us too. A group of bikers in Brazil was surprised by this tarantula but perhaps it was just being friendly? Via ViralHog View Now

Shocking Moment Bear Is Freed From Storm Drain

Shocking Moment Bear Is Freed From Storm Drain

It's definitely bear season, and we're seeing tons of videos online of the animals popping up all over the place. This tale takes the cake though. In Colorado Springs, a 3 to 4-year-old, 250-pound bear was seen taking shelter from the rain in a neighborhood storm drain. Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Southeast Region tweeted out the rescue and the efforts to not harm the bear but to scare it back into the forest. Once it's handled, it gets an ear tag. That's one strike against it. If it was ever handled again it would have to be euthanized. pic.twitter.com/necla8U4CN — CPW SE Region (@CPW_SE) July 26, 2018 An employee of @CSUtilities pop the sewer hole and the waiting began with @COParksWildlife officers standing by with nonlethal rubber slugs in a shotgun. pic.twitter.com/XGH68W8y6l — CPW SE Region (@CPW_SE) July 26, 2018 About 6 minutes after the manhole cover was removed, out came the bear, estimated to be 3 to 4 years old and about 250 lb. Kitten Rescued From Underground Pipe

Open shafts or pipes in the ground are a recipe for disaster and should be covered to protect the unsuspecting animals. However, this doesn't always happen but thank goodness SMART, the animal rescue team from Los Angeles, California has a plan. When they receive a call about a kitten trapped 25 feet down a pipe, they bring their custom, handbuilt rescue pole. The kitty was quickly brought to the North Central Animal Shelter and adopted soon after. View Now

Everyone's Excited To Learn The Results Of Gender Reveals

Back in the old days, people used to find out the gender of their babies on the day they were born. Today, families don't have to wait that long and they usually make a fun little event out of the announcement. Whether they're out in the snowy mountains to set off a colorful smoke bomb or letting their hair dye clue them in. Congrats to both families.  First video via Noah Couser's YouTube and Instagram. Hey, I'm Swampin' Here! & Born An Hour Ago, Already Walking

If we saw a crocodile hanging out in our favorite watering hole (yes, we have a favorite for the purposes of this scenario) we'd happily choose a new watering hole. Elephants, on the other hand, nobody tells them to go somewhere else. The adult elephants have a problem slight pushing the crocs away so the calves can play in the water in peace. View Now

We Love Our Dogs, Despite Their Weird Quirks

Dunkin is a fancy dog who only eats fancy meals. Room-temperature kibble? No thanks. He refuses to eat his food until it's put in the microwave for a couple seconds, because apparently, that turns it into people food. Next, one woman wanted to see what her dogs would do if she collapsed. So she fake falls, and what do the dogs do? They think it's play time.
