At first, this CCTV footage seems to show the most boring street corner ever, and then a car randomly explodes. According to reports, a gas cylinder exploded in the car. No injuries were reported.

Speaking of surprising things, a swim coach was nearly crushed by a ventilation duct that suddenly crashed to the ground. He wasn't hurt, but there were children in the pool at the time. While the one kid was hit by debris, he did not suffer any serious injuries.

In Retrospect... These Were Pretty Bad Ideas

Even though time is money, sometimes you lose a lot more money if your "time-efficient" plan turns into an expensive mistake. Take this Russian freighter overloaded with thousands of tons of massive pipes on the rough seas. A couple heavy waves and these flimsy wire restraints pop like they were string! Now, a fortune in concrete pipes is sitting at the bottom of the arctic! You can't blame the ocean for this ironic Russian crane fail, though. It's well-intentioned operator admits he was trying not to block traffic when he extended the towering crane without its stabilizing legs. Bad idea! View Now

It's like the old saying goes, the fastest way to a shark's heart is through their stomach. Good thing they did, since a herd of Whitetip, Blacktip, and Bull sharks stopped by to hang with the divers. Getting this close to these ancient creatures is truly a privilege. View Now

Gayle On Film: Ant-Man And The Wasp

Gayle On Film: Ant-Man And The Wasp

As far as sequels go, so far this summer "The Incredibles 2" seemed to get it just right ahead of "Deadpool 2" and "Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom" — both fun, but not stellar. Then along came "Ant-Man and The Wasp." In the Marvel universe, there are a plethora of heroes vying for favorite status, and there is something more approachable and likable about Paul Rudd and this film. Simply, he's an everyman. He's THAT guy that everyone would love to have as a co-worker or buddy, and in this role, as a divorced dad on house arrest, audiences will again feel an affection for this ex-con. His Robin Hood vibes, coupled with the other ex-cons and business partners (Michael Peña, T.I. Harris, and David Dastmalchian), provide constant comic relief throughout. Homage must be given to "The Wasp" (Evangeline Lilly). She can fight and hold her own, sometimes better than Rudd, but their chemistry is sweet and overdone as oft is the case in such films. It is just as much her story, but Rudd does get the better jokes.  View Now
