Let's face it, with so many things we took for granted shut down over the past year, we need to celebrate the people who step up to the plate to help others. The people in the Career Ladder certification program for Direct Support Professionals are getting a Publisher's Clearing House-style celebration. Balloons, gift cards and an oversized certificate were all part of the package to thank these workers who assist the daily lives of adults with special needs. The program is a partnership between the Arc Baltimore, a non-profit organization, and the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals through the E-Badge Academy.
