On Christmas Eve, the RNLI received an emergency call about two paragliders who had crashed and fallen into the sea in East Sussex. The pair were dangerously close to cliffs and the rescue team didn't hesitate to jump into action. Fortunately, both paragliders were picked up quickly and given to onshore paramedics. The crew even made it back in time to celebrate the holiday!
Our next rescue was dangerous on a whole other level — literally! Four people and two dogs became stranded on Lyme Regis Fossil Beach in the United Kingdom when they found themselves cut off by the tide. Luckily, they were quick to call for help and the Lyme Regis and Beer Coastguard Rescue Team took to the skies to airlift victims.
