Trevor Ponting made a name for himself back in the 80s and 90s as a skateboarder and snowboarder in New Zealand. These days he's climbing, but not just for the thrill of the sport. It's therapeutic for Ponting while he battles a brain tumor. Ponting was diagnosed with brain cancer, and with the aid of a medical backpack, he's able to climb again. Right now, the tumor isn't growing, so he's relearning to mountain climb and hopes he'll be able to visit family once the COVID-19 crisis is over.
