A mother in São Paulo, Brazil wasn't just going to stand by while a mugger stole her daughter's phone. Thinking fast, the mom tossed her umbrella at the thief, who fell off his bike and found himself in a struggle to get away. While the assailant did manage to get away, the daughter's cell phone was returned.

Next, another thief was caught thanks to CCTV footage. The crook was identified breaking into a home in Essex, England as he climbed into a window via drain pipe. Police caught up with the man just a short while later.
