Good samaritan alert! While driving down the highway in Milwaukee County, WI, Eric Haataja's son noticed a deer was stuck in a fence that was parallel to the road, and the family turned their car around. They noticed that the deer’s hips were stuck in the fence, and the only way to free it was to pull it back through the fence. A police officer also arrived on scene to help. The officer grabbed the fawn's legs, and Haataja hopped the fence to push the animal back out. After successfully freeing the deer, they still had to grab it so it didn’t run into the six-lane highway by the rescue site. They managed to catch the deer and carefully set it over the fence so it could run off to safety.
