Two very dangerous situations in China were resolved by brave individuals working together. A cyclist was hit by a car while riding on the road, and got stuck underneath the vehicle. Pedestrians who saw the accident rushed into action, lifting the car off of the cyclist so they could get out safely.
Firefighters in China also had to exhibit bravery when they were called to rescue a teenager from a gas leak. The individual had been knocked unconscious by the gas, and the rescuers had to bust the door open in order to save the day. View Now

There must be better ways to deal with dissatisfaction in your hotel bill. According to surveillance video and Alva (Okla.) Police, an officer arrived on scene, and a 62-year-old man went up to the officer's car to talk to him about a hotel bill he was very upset with. The man, John Parsley, said the hotel manager refused to give him a refund for two transactions he was told were declined. I have to say, when it comes to sci-fi, I am clearly in the Star Trek column, although I do have an affinity for Star Wars. That being said, when I watched the new trailer for Star Trek Beyond (the third in the revitalized franchise), it came off more like a Fast & Furious trailer than a Star Trek film. That may be because the director is Justin Lin (who's worked on the F&F franchise). Maybe this trailer is heavy on action to get people into theater seats. But it's the relationships on the U.S.S. Enterprise that make this series what it is — and you don't really get a feel for that in this first trailer. I'm not one of those old-school purists who poo-pooed the idea of J.J. Abrams even coming close to the franchise. It was a franchise in serious need of some fresh blood. I liked the first two new ST films. I'm pretty sure I'll probably like this one . . . I hope.
