Seven horses were rescued from the River Shannon in Ireland after being stranded on Ballymacegan Island. The waters started to rise rapidly and the owner was unable to get the horses to safety. The owner called Athlone Sub Aqua Club to request their rescue assistance. The Athlone Sub Aqua Club used a rescue boat, a jet ski and some divers in their dry suits to complete the water rescue. Jason Sherman skateboarded 450 miles from New York City to New Hampshire to honor the memory of his late brother. His brother Eric Sherman died of leukemia. Eric taught his brother Jason to skateboard and they would make skateboard films together and visit William Lawrence Camp in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. Eric later went on to be a camp counselor at that camp. Jason hopes to raise money for The Eric Sherman Memorial Scholarship Fund that will send kids to camp who can't afford to attend otherwise.
