He demonstrates that it is possible to get a free ride from a stranger by approaching their vehicle, knocking on their window and asking for a lift. Many drivers did give Alex a ride, but one driver and passenger were hesitant and refused. Although it is nice to know that strangers are willing to help if you need it, you should always be cautious of the fact that if you don't know someone it may be dangerous to accept or solicit a ride from them.
