7,358 Teddy Bears Tossed Onto Hockey Rink

Have you ever seen 7,358 teddy bears fly at once? During a game in which the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) beat the Utah Grizzlies 6-5 in overtime Saturday, fans tossed teddy bears onto the rink 98 seconds into the contest after a goal was scored. The United Way will be donating them to kids in 60 different shelters and hospitals throughout Kern County, Calif. In the 16 years of doing the promotion, the Condors have seen nearly 100,000 bears hit the ice. View Now
