Just before 1:00 a.m., a man was partially run over by a trolley in San Diego. Possibly under the influence of alcohol, the man was lying across the tracks when the trolley approached the station at Sherman Heights, and although the driver applied the brakes, the man became entangled in the undercarriage. It took an hour for rescuers to lift the trolley off of the man who was then transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Metropolitan Transit Service is investigating the incident.
