Seven marines were killed in a violent explosion during a Marine Corps training exercise at Hawthorne Army Depot in western Nevada, the Marine Corps said Tuesday. Several other Marines were injured in the blast, the cause of which is still under investigation. According to CNN, a traffic accident at the facility around 10 pm was related to the 60mm mortar shell explosion, but the exact connection between the accident and the explosion has yet to be explained.
