An estimated 7.9-magnitude eartquake hit nortwestern Costa Rica Wednesday morning, cutting power and rattling high-rises in the capital, San Jose. A tsunami warning has since been issued in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama. No advisories were issued for U.S. or British Columbia. So far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries. Pauline Marois was just elected as Quebec's first female Premier. Marois was giving her victory speech to all of her supporters when gunfire suddenly erupted. An off duty officer was walking through the Minnesota State Fair when he was attacked by a man who recognized him in the crowd. When the officer restrained the man, the man's friend stepped in and kicked the officer in the face. The officer was knocked unconscious for several minutes. The Gulfstream Casino in Florida has a bit to clean up after 10,000 gallons of water gushed onto the casino floor. The casino had an aquarium, and the aquarium exploded and had water spill all over the place.
