Actor Andy Griffith died Tuesday morning at the age of 86, according to North Carolina officials. Griffith was best known for his roles in "The Andy Griffith Show", "Matlock", and "Return to Mayberry". Griffith died at about 7 a.m. at his home on Roanoke Island. The cause of death has not been provided.
