For 110 days, Roman Trofimov called the Manila International Airport home. Back in March, the Estonian native was traveling throughout Southeast Asia when he was denied an entry visa to the Philippines due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Roman was forced to stay inside the airport and practically fend for himself from March 20th all the way until July 7th, when he was finally able to get a flight back home. While a priest in Russia was ringing the church bell, a freak accident caused him to be temporarily stranded at the top of the tower. The bell's tongue hit him and broke his knee, leaving him stuck 85 feet in the air before paramedics were eventually able to rescue him. In addition to several areas around the country being ravaged, a woman in the suburbs of Moscow was literally swept off her feet and sent flying while attempting to hold the canopy of a food stand down. The rescue team from Wings of Wonder trekked through a swamp in Michigan to find a bald eagle whose talons had been badly injured by a trap. Once they found the eagle, they kindly took her in so they could give her the treatment she needed to regain her strength.
