Raleigh Lilith's first tandem skydiving experience was anything but easy and painless as she jumped out of the plane and immediately found her foot caught in the drogue chute. The drogue chute is that first, tiny parachute that's deployed to help stabilize tandem skydivers during freefall. Instead, Raleigh and her instructor were speeding head-first toward the ground, with immense pressure wrapped around her foot. The two had to work quickly to free her foot, which was in extreme pain.
