It's a bit shocking to come across an elephant seemingly smoking, but there's actually a simple explanation. Vinay Kumar, assistant director at Wildlife Conservation Society India, caught the scene on camera at the Nagarahole National Park in Karnataka. The wild Asian elephant was drawing up a trunk full of ash then blowing out a puff of smoke.
