It's a bit shocking to come across an elephant seemingly smoking, but there's actually a simple explanation. Vinay Kumar, assistant director at Wildlife Conservation Society India, caught the scene on camera at the Nagarahole National Park in Karnataka. The wild Asian elephant was drawing up a trunk full of ash then blowing out a puff of smoke. Sugarcane farmers in Pune, Maharashtra, India came across four lost lion cubs in their field. Not unusual since leopards like the natural cover and shelter that sugarcane fields provide. The farmers called Wildlife SOS, who checked out the cubs to make sure they were healthy. Afterward, they gathered the cubs up in a plastic crate and made sure mama knew where to find them.
