Jenny, her husband Phil, and their two friends were enjoying a walk along the coast in Cornwall, England when things took a dramatic turn. The couple's friend Andy was swept out to sea by a wave, and with dangerous rocks all around them, Phil got into the water to try and rescue him. Jenny immediately called the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and in the audio recording of the phone call, you can hear the agent keeping her calm while relaying important safety information up until the moment the rescue team arrived.
Both men made it out of the water alive, and although Andy suffered a few broken ribs, he was discharged from the hospital shortly after the incident. It's so important to practice caution at sea, and remember: Help is often just a phone call away.
