How Cow Hugs Heal — The Gentle Barn Founder Joins RTM 3:07
Life can be stressful and it's easy to get overwhelmed. Sometimes, you just need a hug. That's where the cows at The Gentle Barn come in. They're a national non-profit animal rescue and sanctuary that not only give animals relief, but humans too. Through their Cow Hugging Therapy program, folks can book a slot to snuggle with a rehabilitated cow. Not only can the cows help lower blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health, but the T.L.C. can help release endorphins that produce a calming effect. The Gentle Barn founder Ellie Laks joined the RTM hosts via Zoom to share how cow hugging therapy came to be and celebrate a truly remarkable story of recovery.
The Gentle Barn is located in the San Fernando Valley in California, Nashville, Tennessee and St. Louis, Missouri.
