Why kneel down for a proposal when you can stand? That's what Jacob Newbern did for the lucky lady in his life, Mary Batar. She's been supporting him with her positivity ever since they found out Newbern was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes paralysis. After 22 days of treatment at the Orange Park Medical Center in Florida, Newbern was ready to go home, but he wanted to leave with a fiancé. After setting up a special romantic setting, he surprised Batar by revealing he could stand again and asked her to be his wife! Such a touching moment for the duo of five years that are also parents to 10-month-old twin girls, Kallie and Kinsley, as well as a 3-year-old daughter, Braelynn, according to ABC News.
