Imagine riding home only to find your neighborhood caught up in the middle of a raging forest fire. Unfortunately, more and more people don't have to imagine that scenario these days. One man was riding home on his bike when he saw his neighbors struggling to save their homes from the damage caused by the Hopkins Fire in California.
All they had at their disposal was a garden hose, but even that would have been ineffective if the propane tanks caught fire. Once the firefighters arrived, the rider was able to go to own his home and take only what he needed. While the rider's home was spared, many weren't so lucky.
