A man in Australia saw a whale calf caught in a shark net and didn't hesitate to jump into the water to free it. Blaze Parsons captured the dramatic rescue on camera. The man most likely saved the whale's life, but the situation caused controversy when people heard that authorities threatened to fine him for his actions. On the bright side, the situation drew attention to the harm that shark nets cause to marine animals, and thousands of dollars were raised for charity as a result.
