That's one small flight for helicopter, one giant leap for the future of space exploration! NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter became the first powered craft to fly on another planet. Ingenuity's historic flight lasted a little over thirty seconds and the craft reached heights of about ten feet off the Martian ground. The future is bright for this technology; helicopters like this could serve as scouts for rovers — and eventually humans — on future missions. Their ability to reach places humans and rovers can't reach could be imperative to how NASA learns more about other planets.
