A light plane pilot is lucky to walk away after surviving a terrifying crash. It all started when the pilot didn't get airborne enough to avoid clipping a tree, which took out one of his wings. The pilot crash-landed upside down on a golf course, avoiding injuring anyone else. Emergency workers arrived on the scene and managed to keep the leaking fuel from igniting.
Speaking of rescues, the RNLI was on the scene when three yachts found themselves run aground. All three vessels got stranded on a sandbank and were unable to move. The volunteer rescuers from the RNLI helped the boats get unstuck, but did have to tow at least one of the yachts out to open water again.
