'Rally For Rangers' Brings Motorcycles To Park Rangers In Need — Co-Founder Joins RTM 3:16
Back in 2013, former U.S. National Park Ranger Robert “Mac” McIntosh noticed a major problem that burdened park rangers in Mongolia. Without reliable and fast transportation, rangers could not pursue or keep up with illegal poachers, miners, campers and other spoilers of the environment. His solution was the birth of Rally For Rangers!
Every year, the foundation finds riders to buy motorcycles and ride them over 1,000 miles to deliver them to park rangers around the world. Seven years and over 120 bikes later, they've successfully combined the passion for protecting the environment and the passion for motorcycles. Co-founder Tom Medema joined the RTM hosts via Zoom to talk about the importance of the mission, what it takes to ride and the Rally For Rangers documentary film.
