In Kenya, a lion got caught in a wire snare and was pretty badly injured. A team of rescuers saved the lion's life by freeing it from the wire snare and treating its wound. Thanks to their help, the lion was able to walk off into the bush afterwards.

Over in Brazil, a manatee affectionately dubbed Victor Maracá reached an important milestone in his journey back to the wild. After years of rehabilitation, it was time for Victor to be released into a river. Caretakers plan on monitoring Victor there until he's completely ready to be on his own in the wild.
