The Fourth of July is a holiday to celebrate no matter your age. So for those kids out there who aren't quite old enough to play with fireworks, our craft genius Jessica Hord has the solution. CONFETTI CATAPULTS! All you need are a few simple materials you can most likely find lying around the house! Kids will LOVE this craft because they'll get to customize their catapult. We know Jessica enjoyed it... She was in the office hole punching away to create her confetti.
— Toilet paper tubes or halved paper towel tubes
— Patriotic paper
— Double-sided tape
— 12" balloons
— Electrical tape
— Confetti (Jessica used a hole punch to cut holes from red, white and blue construction paper.)
1. Cut patriotic paper to fit the tube you're using, adhere with double-sided tape.
2. Cut a balloon in half.
3. Stretch the half of the balloon with the lip onto one side of the tube.
4. Secure the balloon to the tube with tape.
5. Tie a knot in the neck of the balloon. Fill with confetti. You're done!
