Singers Rewrite Controversial 'Baby It's Cold Outside' Lyrics

There's been some controversy over the years about a classic holiday song. It may have started out innocent, but "Baby It's Cold Outside" has taken on a bit of a "creepy vibe" as the woman in the song doesn't exactly seem to want to hang out with the guy desiring her time. Songwriters Lydia Liza and Josiah Lemanski decided to rewrite some of the lyrics to make a point and emphasize the importance of consent in sexual relationships, although the song originally started as a duet between a husband and wife who wanted to perform it at parties (their son says it wasn't about rape and was supposed to just be fun). The song is now available to download on Rock the Cause Inc. 501c3. All proceeds benefit the Sexual Violence Center and National Alliance to End Sexual Violence. View Now
