Police Officers Under Investigation After Former Federal Police Officer's Arrest 2:25
Five Australian police officer are under investigation after arresting a former federal police officer who claims his arrest was unlawful. Paul Gibbons was on vacation when police arrived to his apartment complex. Police were there to arrest a different suspect, but Gibbons became their target when police became enraged that he didn't open the door fast enough for them. He tried to film the confrontation with police on his phone but the officers slapped the phone from his hand and tackled him to the ground. Gibbons said that the officers did not provide a reason for his arrest and forced him to unlock his phone. Once the phone was unlocked the officers deleted all of the photos and videos from the phone. Investigators are now reviewing the incident using the CCTV footage from the building.
