Eric Dossantos has been piloting wingsuits for four years but during a recent run his flight went terribly wrong. In Chamonix, France, Eric was piloting his dream proximity wingsuit base jumping flight.

As Eric started to lose altitude and speed, he crashed directly into a treetop eight inches in diameter. At that point, Eric was traveling more than 90 miles per hour.

Miraculously, Eric did survive the incident and is now recovering. He suffered multiple injuries including head trauma. To help pay for Eric's medical expenses, his friends have set up a GoFundMe page.
