This Priceless Gift Is More Than A Teddy Bear 1:42
Four-year-old Jordan was an avid doll collector like many other kids her age, but mom and Born Just Right blogger Jen Lee Reeves remembers that her daughter's first shopping experience was bittersweet. Even though little Jordan picked out a doll with the exact same color hair and eyes as her, she was devastated that all the dollies had two hands and she only had one.
That started mom and Jordan wondering... do limb-different dolls exist for limb-loss and limb-difference children? Since the two started petitioning toymakers to create more inclusive toys they've faced an uphill battle, but fast forward to today and Jen's surprising a much older Jordan with a special present—her very own Vermont Teddy Bear with a shortened left arm!
We couldn't be happier that the Vermont Teddy Bear Company have fully embraced limb-difference and made it a permanent customization option on all their bears. Best yet, 20 percent of every "Limb Loss & Limb Difference Bear" sold goes to support the Amputee Coalition.
