Can't think of something to bring for Thanksgiving dinner this year? Don't be that person who shows up with forks or napkins; we've got another solution. Give thanks to our crafty creator Jessica Hord as she shows us how to make a pumpkin centerpiece from DIY Candy.
You'll Need:
— 3 small pumpkins (Jessica used pie pumpkins)
— 1 plastic cup, cut to fit
— Floral wet foam
— Array of fall flowers
Instructions:
1. Cut a hole into your pumpkin, big enough to fit your cup through.
2. Scoop out seeds, apply petroleum jelly as a preserver if you're planning a day or two ahead.
3. Cut foam to fit cup and then soak foam according to the package's instructions.
4. Insert foam into the cup filled with a little water. Insert foam cup into the pumpkin.
5. Insert flowers into the foam around the cut edges of the pumpkin first, covering the cut portion of the pumpkin with flowers.
6. Arrange the rest of the flowers in the center until you have a full bouquet.
7. Repeat two times with two other pumpkins. You're done!

Clean the outside of the jar. 2. Put a layer of Mod Podge down on the jar & let it get a little tacky. 3. Press a leaf to the Mod Podge on the jar and then put a layer of Mod Podge over the leaf. Continue layering the leaves until you've covered the jar. 4. Let it dry & then tie raffia to the rim of the jar. Stick candle or whatever you'd like to stick inside because you're done! *Inspired By http://www.sparkandchemistry.com/blog/leaf-mason-jar-candle-holder Twigs & Leaves Thanksgiving Centerpiece You'll Need: -- Thin Branches -- Glitter Spray Paint -- Scissors -- Twine -- Double-Sided Scrapbook Paper in Different Colors -- Pencil -- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks -- Something to Use as a Vase Instructions: 1. On a piece of cardboard draw the outline of a leaf with a small stem. (I looked at leaf clip-art for help.) Cut the leaf out and use as a stencil for drawing leaves over and over on your different sheets of scrapbook paper. Cut leaves out. 2. Gather twigs and lay on cardboard (or something you don't mind getting glitter all over) outside and spray with gold spray paint, making sure to get all sides. 3. Once twigs are dry, take one twig at a time and choose where you'd like to place the leaf -- hot glue the stem of the leaf to the top of the twig branch. 4. Wrap twine around the leaf stem, after it's glued, and secure the end with a tiny drop of hot glue. Continue until you have the amount of leaves you'd like on the twigs. (I chose to put one leaf on each twig.) 5. Arrange the twigs in your vase and you're done! View Now
