While birds may make fine pets, one woman in Vienna, Austria took it to extremes when she had 323 birds living in her apartment. The woman originally had just eight parakeets at the beginning about five years ago, but she ended up losing control of them. She couldn't catch the birds, as they would just fly around the room.

It wasn't an ideal situation, so Austrian animal rescue Gut Aiderbichl came in to save the birds. These days, the birds have a large room where they're free to fly around, and their adopted mother can visit whenever she likes. The woman loves the birds like family! The rescue group always takes care of animals until the end of their natural life, so the birds are not up for adoption and are all doing just fine.
