Jerks With Guns Cause Scary Situations in Brazil

After refusing to give away his phone, the man was shot twice and need medical attention. In clip two, a group of Indians were shot at by a pair of gunmen. Photographer Captures First-Person View Inside Brazil Protests

More than 200,000 demonstrators have taken to the streets of Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and four other major cities to rally on a range of social issues, including poverty, tax burden, political corruption, social services and a growing frustration with the expense of big-budget events like the 2016 Olympics and the World Cup. According to The Washington Post, the unrest began last week as a response to a 10-cent hike in public bus and subway fares that kicked in on June 1, but protestors insist the movement is now about so much more. Journalist Michel De Souza went to Rio de Janeiro to photograph the demonstrations, but also had a GoPro camera constantly recording a unique POV video from his perspective. According to Souza, the video "shows moments before each photograph was taken. I think it also tells the story of something that seems to be marking our country. I confess that, towards the end, it moved me to tears." View Now
