An app in China allows users to hire a person to come drive them and their car home when they've been drinking. When a woman drove a man to his home and helped him inside, he beat her, forced her to transfer him money and locked her inside his home. Desperate to escape her kidnapper, the woman decided to leap from the second-story window. She fractured her spine as a result, but most importantly, made it out of a terrifying situation alive. The suspect was later arrested and remains in custody.
Speaking of escaping from windows, a man in Australia did the same thing while trying to evade police. He made the risky climb down a three-story building to avoid being arrested, only to find another officer waiting for him down on the ground. Unsurprisingly, he was arrested and is set to appear in court for his charges.
