A light plane pilot is lucky to walk away after surviving a terrifying crash. It all started when the pilot didn't get airborne enough to avoid clipping a tree, which took out one of his wings. Daniel James Nicholson was in an Australian court for a sentencing hearing when the judge decided to revoke his bail. Nicholson has been in trouble with the law several times before, so the judge said enough was enough. Upon hearing this, Nicholson freaked out and attempted to escape custody while in the courtroom. However, one family in Vietnam found themselves in that exact situation when part of their ceiling fell right over their children watching TV. One motorcyclist in Vietnam had Lady Luck on his side when an iron gate started to fall, and the nearby homeowner managed to catch it just in time! An ice climber in Russia found himself trapped in an icy crevasse nearly 16,000 feet high. Fortunately, he was found by mountain rescuers, but getting the climber out wasn't an easy task. The rescue efforts took hours to do. Time was working against them since the climber had sustained injuries, and the temperature was dropping throughout the day. It should have been a normal roadside stop for police, but it quickly became a struggle for one officer to hang on as the suspect attempted to escape. Police dashcam footage shows the suspect driver trap an officer by the arm in their window and drive off. After a suspected arsonist lit a building on fire with people inside, one man's quick thinking and will to survive saved himself and the others trapped inside. Ramzi Assaf broke through a window, jumped out, and with the help of heroic onlookers, caught each woman who jumped out after him. After two cars collided in the intersection, one of the drivers fled the scene as fast as they could. Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any serious injuries, but the other driver was lucky cameras were rolling so that her insurance could cover the damage.

Police in the Czech Republic spotted a suspect they believed to be riding a stolen motorcycle. The rider led police on a chase along busy city streets, even ditching their helmet at some point.
