A family in Compton, California left their dog in their yard after they moved away. Hope for Paws came out to rescue the dog, but it took quite a lot of effort due to fireworks that were set off nearby. Eventually, the rescue crew was able to get hold of the dog, which they named Lola, and sheltered her. It turns out that a large number of dogs go missing every July 4 due to their fear of fireworks.
