A woman fell into a freezing river in West Midlands, England, prompting a police officer to leap into action, literally. The officer jumped into the freezing waters to save the woman from drowning. After the rescue, the officer went right back on patrol, in some much dryer clothes.

It takes a village to rescue an elephant, especially when the elephant is stuck very deep in a muddy swamp. The rescue mission took 48 hours, but the villagers never quit. They tried several different methods, using a crane to dig up some mud and pulling her out with a rope. Eventually, they are able to free her and she is reunited with her baby. View Now

Raleigh Lilith's first tandem skydiving experience was anything but easy and painless as she jumped out of the plane and immediately found her foot caught in the drogue chute. The drogue chute is that first, tiny parachute that's deployed to help stabilize tandem skydivers during freefall.
